Materials for Your DIY Pearl Bracelet

Our Kit 131 Bracelet Making Kit brings together the main supplies for this design. You can also use the tutorial as inspiration to combine your own colors and materials.

Kit 131 materials laid out before starting.
  • 8mm pearl beads: the classic centerpiece of each repeated section.
  • 3 × 6mm 4-prong marquise cubic zirconia claw stones: arranged as sparkling leaf-like accents around the pearls.
  • 2mm round spacer beads: used to join and tighten the crossed wires.
  • Soft copper jewelry wire: cut approximately 70cm for the project.
  • Drawstring clasp and small stopper/position beads: for the bracelet ends and secure finishing.

The CZ stones are held in metal claws rather than glued onto the bracelet. Their marquise shape gives the finished piece its delicate, leafy sparkle.

Step-by-Step Pearl & CZ Bracelet Tutorial

Follow the four photos below in order. Keep the wire ends separated so you can tell which is the left strand and which is the right strand.

Step 1: Prepare the wire and clasp

Step 1: Prepare the wire and clasp.

Cut approximately 70cm of soft copper wire. Pass it through one end of the drawstring clasp, then add a small round bead to secure the starting point. Keep both wire ends available for weaving.

Step 2: Add marquise CZ stones and a pearl

Step 2: Add marquise CZ stones and a pearl.

Take the left wire through the lower-right claw of a marquise CZ stone, then add three marquise CZ claw stones in the pattern shown. Add one 8mm pearl to the right wire.

Step 3: Cross through a 2mm bead

Step 3: Cross through a 2mm bead.

Bring both wire ends together and pass them through one 2mm round spacer bead from opposite directions. Pull both ends gently and evenly until the pearl and CZ stones sit neatly together.

Step 4: Switch sides and repeat

Step 4: Switch sides and repeat.

Repeat the same pearl-and-CZ sequence, but swap the roles of the left and right wires. Continue alternating sides to build the repeating design until the bracelet fits your wrist.

Finish and Secure Your Bracelet

Once the bracelet reaches your preferred length, attach and secure the remaining clasp connection using the appropriate stopper/position beads. Check that both wire ends are firmly secured, then carefully trim any excess wire. Gently adjust the pearls and CZ stones so the pattern sits evenly.

Tip: Before trimming, check the fit on your wrist and give each section a gentle pull to make sure the wires and clasp are secure. Avoid overtightening, which can distort the pattern.

Make the Design Your Own

Try different pearl shades, metal finishes, or colored marquise CZ claw stones. The same weaving technique can create a soft bridal look, a fresh green-and-pearl combination, or a more colorful statement bracelet.
