How to Make a Pearl & CZ Cluster Bracelet - Kit 226

A photo guide to the alternating pearl and sparkle pattern, from the first wire to the finished bracelet.

What you’ll use
  • 8 mm pearls
  • 3 mm 6-prong round cubic zirconia (CZ) claw stones
  • 2 mm copper beads
  • Beading wire, clasp and finishing findings

Each loop places one pearl on one wire and a five-piece CZ sequence on the other. The wires cross through a separate 2 mm bead to close the loop. For the next loop, switch sides.

Important: how to thread each CZ stone

Pass the wire through the inside of two prongs on the six-prong setting, as shown below. Do not pass the wire through the center of the round CZ stone. Check this wire path every time you add a CZ stone.

Correct wire path: through the inside of two prongs on the CZ setting
Correct wire path: pass through the inside of two prongs on the CZ setting, away from the center of the stone.
One CZ sequence: CZ → 2 mm bead → CZ → 2 mm bead → CZ
To close each loop: cross both wires through one more 2 mm bead.
STEP 01

Build the first pair of strands

Thread one 8 mm pearl onto the left wire. On the right wire, add five pieces in this exact order: 3mm round 6-prong CZ stone → 2 mm copper bead → CZ stone → bead → CZ stone. That is three CZ stones and two small beads on the right, alongside one pearl on the left. Thread each CZ through the inside of two prongs, never through the center of the stone.

Left wire: one 8 mm pearl. Right wire: CZ, 2 mm bead, CZ, 2 mm bead, CZ.

STEP 02

Check the stone sequence

Before joining the strands, slide the pieces toward the secured end and check the right-hand order. The two 2 mm beads should sit between the three CZ stones, with the pearl on the opposite wire.

Then take one additional 2 mm metal bead and pass the left and right wire ends through that same bead from opposite directions. Pull both wires gently until the pearl and CZ strand meet at the crossing bead and form a neat loop. This crossing bead is separate from the two small beads placed between the CZ stones.

Both wire ends pass through one shared 2 mm crossing bead.

STEP 03

Switch sides for the next loop, pull snug and repeat

Now reverse the arrangement: thread one 8 mm pearl onto the right wire. On the left wire, add round CZ → 2 mm bead → round CZ → 2 mm bead → round CZ. Thread each CZ setting through the inside of two prongs as before. Use another 2 mm bead as the shared crossing bead, passing the two wire ends through it in opposite directions.

Pull both wire ends evenly to bring the loop into shape. Continue alternating which side gets the pearl and which side gets the three-stone sequence until the bracelet reaches your desired length.

STEP 04

Finish and wear

Once the beaded section reaches your desired bracelet length, secure the two remaining wire ends to the other side of the clasp using the crimp beads supplied with your kit. Trim any excess wire only after the fastening is secure. The finished bracelet alternates luminous gray pearls with sparkling clusters of round CZ stones.
